2026 Micro-grant Program

The 2026 DHCF Micro Grant Program supports election efforts by helping you tap into local resources through grassroots, community-based strategies. All Florida Democratic Hispanic Caucus chapters are eligible to apply. Requests may range from $600 to $2,600, subject to availability. You may apply for more than one grant. We want you to win BIG with effective voter outreach. We are committed to successful outcomes for all grant applicants. 

- July 18th – Sample Application Kits emailed to Caucus Presidents

- Aug. 1st – Online Micro-Grant Training Seminar – 7-8:30 pm. 

- Aug. 20th – Micro-Grant application portal goes live.

- Sept. 14th – Last Day to Submit a Grant Application.

- Sept. 28th – Grants approved and funding released.

- Nov. 3rd –  Election Day!

- Nov. 5th  –  Last day to expense funds.

- Jan. 21st –  County Assessment Reports Due.

- June 1st – Micro Grant 2026 Election Impact Report published. 

 DHCF Micro Grants will prioritize proposals that deliver on two key goals:

- Increase voter turnout in November 2026, especially among unaffiliated voters who share Democratic values.

- Counter MAGA disinformation about Democratic values, economic opportunity, immigration, and public service.

- Community town halls focused on local Hispanic issues. 

- Democratic candidate forums. 

- Picnics, parades, or other politically relevant events.

- Advertising that promotes Democratic commitment to shared Hispanic values.

- Receptions honoring members of the Hispanic business community. 

- Literature promoting the importance of voting.

- Targeted Canvas campaigns by precinct with maps and times to vote early and on Election Day. 

- New Citizen voter celebrations/outreach.

- Social Media outreach campaigns. 

Democratic promotional products (T-shirts, hats, banners, pins) may be requested as part of a grant, subject to cost-sharing limits.

The Micro Grant application portal will open on August 20. Caucus presidents will receive application instructions by email and are welcome to attend our August 1st Seminar.
